Abstract

Organizational climate is a determining factor in the functioning of educational institutions, as it directly influences staff perceptions, attitudes, and levels of motivation, thereby affecting teaching performance and the achievement of institutional goals. Assessing organizational climate makes it possible to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, as well as to promote healthy work environments that foster educational quality. However, in various contexts, there is still a lack of instruments that enable this construct to be measured objectively and in a context-specific manner. In this regard, the purpose of this study was to design and validate an instrument aimed at measuring the organizational climate in educational institutions (EIs) within UGEL 03 in Metropolitan Lima. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental design was adopted. The sample consisted of 166 teachers selected through probabilistic sampling. Content validity was determined using Aiken’s V coefficient, while construct validity was evaluated through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with robust estimation. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha. The results showed optimal levels of validity (V = 0.99), adequate model fit indices (X2/gl= 1.585; SRMR = .065; RMSEA = .059; CFI = .918; TLI = .903) , and high internal consistency (alpha = 0.90). Therefore, this instrument is valid and reliable for assessing the organizational climate of educational institutions in UGEL 03 and guiding improvements in educational quality.
