The institutional identity is the image that the organization generates in society and in general the image that it generates in the users of the service that it offers, the style of organizational communication, its culture and beliefs. For the elaboration of this article, sources of information have been reviewed, such as articles by scientists from 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, applying in this way the documentary review and systematizing the most relevant findings. The results of the review have allowed us to conceptualize the institutional image construct in the educational field, its main components, its importance in organizational development and strategies in the management of institutional identity.
